Hubby and I are both all there. No seriously, I mean ALL there. We both have curves. His are hard, mine are soft, but the great thing is that we love each others! One of my favourite, curvy, cuddly meals to make for us is Meatloaf. Yum! Here’s how I made it today...
1.5 pounds Regular ground beef
2 squirts of Worcestershire sauce
1 squeeze of mustard
1 teaspoon Basil
3 pinches of salt
1 pinch of pepper
6 slices of raisin bread
1 glass of red wine
2 eggs
1 can of sardines
2 mixing bowls
1 pyrex 9 x 12 baking dish (or two loaf tins or 4 mini loaf tins...you get the drift)
In one bowl place the raisin bread and pour the red wine over it - let stand
In the other bowl, mix the ground beef with each of the rest of the ingredients one by one, except for the eggs.
Cooks Tip: Hold the bowl with one hand while you mix with your other hand. Yes, mix with you hand! The love will flow straight from your heart along your pulse rate and through your palms, right into the meatloaf...and later into his stomach:-)
Tear up the raisin bread into small pieces and then mince together using your fingertips.
Add the bread and wine mixture to the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
Add the eggs and mix well.
Grease baking dish.
Pat meatloaf into the baking dish making sure all the corners are filled.
Bake on middle rack at 350 for 20 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out dry.
Pour pasta sauce over the top of the meatloaf and bake for another 5 minutes.
Serve with citrus salad and boiled sweet potatoes and a light red wine.
Desert: Nothin' but cuddlin'!
